2012 Morgan Plus E Review

2012 Morgan Plus E, an electric sports car with a manual five-speed gearbox has been designed by Morgan with the support of British technology specialists Zytek and Radshape. Shown as a concept to test market reaction, a radical new roadster could go into production if there is sufficient demand.

E Plus is based on a customized version of the lightweight aluminum chassis clothed in a body of Morgan's platform revisions "traditional" of the V8-powered BMW, Plus 8 also launched in Geneva. Power delivered by the new Zytek derivative of 70kW (94bhp) engine power 300nm, which has been proven by U.S. vehicle manufacturers.

Mounted on the transmission tunnel, rear-wheel drive Zytek unit via a conventional manual gearbox five speeds. When the clutch pedal is pressed, the electronic controls automatically adjust the revs for the speed of the motor output shaft to ensure a perfect change.
