With an output of 155 kW / 210 PS (from 5300 rpm to 6200
rpm), TSI engines are located in the heart of the new 2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI
Cabriolet has exactly the same power with classic GTI with steel and / or the
panoramic sunroof. In particular, this is a direct injection gasoline engine
GTI of the EA888 series. The turbocharged 16-valve four-cylinder engine
develops a maximum torque of 280 Newton meters at 1700 rpm lower. And the
torque is still available at a constant level until 5200 rpm - a plateau that
is ideal for the torque curve, which is not curved anymore.
Golf Cabriolet TSI engine accelerates the most powerful ever
from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.3 seconds. A particular strength of the machine
is its great flexibility: manual shift Cabriolet can accelerate the 80-120 km /
h in just 10.5 seconds - This value indicates why the open-top four-seat
convertible is a car that ideal. VW Golf GTi Cabriolet reaches a top speed of
237 km / h (DSG: 235 km / h). This contrasts with a combined fuel consumption
of just 7.6 l/100 km and 177 g / km CO2 emissions as equivalent (DSG: 7.7 l/100
km and 180 g / km CO2). Incidentally, the Golf GTI is the only convertible in
the compact class up to 210 PS will be offered with a double clutch gearbox!
Like the Golf GTI remains a classic with a steel roof, new
conversion also showed a visual trademark GTI. They are the typical GTI emblem
which have made their way into the collective memory of all motorists for 36
years. At the front, they are framing the red of the radiator grille with a
honeycomb structure and GTI signature, the honeycomb structure of the lower air
inlet, GTI front bumper and fog lamps with chrome GTI-specific surroundings. At
the rear, Golf GTI Cabriolet is distinguished by the design of the new
diffuser, chrome tailpipes typical (one on the left and one on the right) and
smoked LED taillights. License plate on the back is also illuminated by the
LED. From the side, next to the verge extensions and 17-inch alloy 'wheels
Denver (at 225/45 tires) make the GTI a conversion. Of course, here also
18-inch GTI 'Detroit' wheels with 225/40 tires are available as options. As
