At the heart and soul of the 2013 Viper SRT is, honorable
hand-assembled 8.4-liter all-aluminum V-10 overhead-valve engine. Improvements for 2013 include a new, high-flow and
ultra-lightweight composite intake manifold, high-strength forged pistons,
sodium filled exhaust valves, new catalysts to reduce back pressure and
aluminum flywheel which reduces reciprocating harm. More than 25 pounds have
been shaved from the engine fully clothed.
Brembo four-piston fixed aluminum calipers with brake, and
ventilated with a rotor diameter of 355 mm by 32 mm, is used in all four
corners. Brake calipers are forged and weight optimized by the engine
completely all surfaces. Calipers are among the most severe available to the

speed (redline) at 6200 rpm.
For 2013, the Viper SRT models ride on standard Pirelli P
Zero, Z-rated tires with the overall performance increased substantially, cold
weather performance, improved overall grip and steering response on various
road surfaces while also expanding the performance envelope. An SRT Track Pack
features an optional Pirelli P Zero Corsa, "soft"-tuned,
"racing-type" compound tires that improve handling and more precision
on the road or race track.
